“Bad customer service from Gilbert”
I gave Gilbert a list of all the items to be moved and he quoted me R880, I told him that the corner couch was heavy and the guys that brought it couldn't fit it through the stairs so they had to pull it with ropes. We agreed that this will need 3 people and he added an extra R200 which made the total R1080. On the day of the move only 2 people came and we asked them multiple times if everything will fit on the van cause the van was smaller than what we were expecting and they said yes but they had to return for a second load. During the second load I got a message from Gilbert saying that I had to pay an extra R600 for the second load but this was not what we agreed on, I did not budget for an extra R600. Got on a call with Gilbert and he was so rude he did not want to hear anything he just wanted us to pay the extra R600. We talked to the 2 guys that helped us move and gave them R1280 instead of R1680. my couch is now torn at the corners and the fridge has a dent.

They didn't arrive on the day and promised to come the next but they were very late

Its a family business that we started through assisting friends to move using our Bakkie which we were using at our shop. We mainly get our customers through previous customer references. Our business was financed through savings of our own
