Was not happy things were broken in boxes .My tumbledryer door was broken off .A box was missing.Insurance was not covering anything of importance only for accidents ,highjack of load and fire .No insurance for breakages .

Dear Niels, We are disappointed by this review after our efforts to assist. Insurance: We were transparent that we only offer Goods-In-Transit cover (Fire/Collision/Hijacking), as stated in your Quote and Invoice. Clients must arrange their own All-Risk cover for handling damages. Resolution: Even though your damage was not covered and we were not liable, we still paid you R1,000 from our own pocket as a goodwill gesture. “Not Impressed”
African Moving Company was awesome to work with. Great at coming back to me assisting where needed. They were extremely impressive. Then I paid my deposit. Not 10 min later they moved the date that we had been discussing for weeks. This meant i incurred extra costs for factors involved in the move including then having to take unpaid leave. They day of the move the guys loading the truck could not fit it all in. After he asked for an "incentive" payment they got it all in the truck. My wife had no option as she was on her own back in the home town as the rest of us already had to drive back. Furniture was offloaded in a complete mess. Also just left strewn over the front yard out in the elements and they broke furniture. We did pay for insurance. However, all i keep getting asked for is the pictures which i have already sent and the standard line "I am discussing with the team" If you are thinking of moving you can do better. Rather look at other service providers.

Quote was solid, delivery was quick. i guess communication could have been better because after pick up, smaller amounts start piling up and you are introduced to new costs. They must ask questions before finalizing a quote.My final price went from R7400 to almost 10K

How did you start your business?
We started African Furniture Removals in 2012 to fill the gap between the client and the service provider in order to give transport companies bulk to keep their wheels turning and to provide clients with top service at the lowest prices.
What makes your services standout?
The price...we provide a top quality service at a rate that is below the market. We do this by combining loads as well as getting our clients a back-load or return load. This way the transport company gets's a load for their empty running truck and the client gets a great service at half the going rate. Win-Win!
