“Montagu Move”
The pickup in Joburg was very good. They were on time both days and worked well. Dropping us was another story. The driver and co-driver had to do the whole unload. The crew from Cape Town only arrived at 16h45. I had arranged for a shuttle at 08h30 whom I had to pay for the day. I phoned the owner who offered to reimburse me for the driver of the shuttle. He asked me for my bank details but never made the payment. When I asked him where the crew was, he said that he had the whole day to offload. Not a pleasant experience!!

Dear Brian, Thank you for your feedback. I am in agreement that the delivery in Montagu could have been handled better regarding timing. Our office dispatched a vehicle from Cape Town via a small collection in Somerset West and this where we were delayed. Your re-imbursement of R1000 will be made today. “Move from CPT to JHB”
It was only a pleasure dealing with Monarch. They took away the stress of moving our personal belongings from Somerset West to Kempton Park. We will refer Monarch to our friends and family and will make use of their services if necessary.

At first to get the sale, customer service was excellent and sales pitches were good. I was told that I won’t be asked to pay a cent extra like other moving companies do but this wasn’t the case. Some of my stuff got damaged and I am still waiting for it to be sorted out. Upon accepting the quote I was told that they insure the items fully and if anything gets damaged it will be replaced, this wasn’t the case. They said they will repair it and then sent me a settlement of half of the repair quote. So I would have to pay the other half for damages due to their negligence. There were ups as well but unfortunately the downs have left a bad taste in my mouth so I guess the choice is yours if you would like to take the gamble.

Brilliant service from Anton and his whole team - from the first home inspection, right to the end where they removed all boxes. I cannot recommend them high enough!

Monarch were a pleasure to deal with, will use them again soon for another small move. I suffered a medical emergency during the delivery, and the movers completed the delivery seamlessly.
